Compliance Policy
Document Ref: RTA-IPC-2026-003
Effective Date: April 21, 2026
Compliance Standard: WIPO Guidelines, FIA Media Accreditation Criteria (Art. 2.2), and Berne Convention.
1. STATEMENT OF INTENT
Rising Talent Academy (the "Academy") recognizes that intellectual property ("IP") is the foundational asset of the media and sporting industries. This policy outlines our commitment to protecting our original journalistic output while strictly adhering to the IP rights of third parties, including the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), event promoters, and participating teams.
2. PROTECTION OF THIRD-PARTY RIGHTS (FIA & FOM)
The Academy acknowledges that the FIA and the Commercial Rights Holder (CRH) hold exclusive rights to the "Championship" trademarks, including logos, titles, and audiovisual footage of track action.
Prohibition of Livestreaming: In accordance with FIA Media Accreditation Guidelines, the Academy strictly prohibits any personnel from livestreaming video content of track activity. Any video captured within the confines of a sanctioned event shall be for internal archival use or limited social media use as expressly permitted by the FIA Media Delegate.
Trademark Usage: The Academy uses the names and logos of the FIA, Formula 1, and other sanctioned bodies for editorial purposes only. We do not claim any affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement by these bodies unless a separate commercial agreement exists.
Image Credits: All third-party imagery used by the Academy shall be appropriately licensed and credited to the original photographer or agency.
3. OWNERSHIP OF ACADEMY CONTENT
Original Works: All text, editorial analysis, original photography, and graphics produced by Academy staff or accredited contributors remain the exclusive intellectual property of Rising Talent Academy.
Work for Hire: All content produced by students, contractors, or employees during the course of their engagement is considered "Work for Hire" under applicable copyright laws, with all rights assigned to the Academy.
Byline Integrity: The Academy ensures that all contributing journalists are correctly by-lined, fulfilling the FIA requirement for transparent editorial accountability.
4. LICENSING AND SYNDICATION
The Academy may license its original content to third-party publications. Any such licensing agreement shall:
Require the third party to uphold the same IP standards as the Academy.
Prohibit the alteration of the content in a way that misrepresents the facts or infringes upon the original spirit of the work.
Ensure that no Academy-owned content is used to create a false association with the FIA or FOM.
5. INFRIFRINGEMENT MONITORING & ENFORCEMENT
The Academy actively monitors for the unauthorized use of its IP.
Notice and Takedown: We reserve the right to issue "Digital Millennium Copyright Act" (DMCA) notices or equivalent international takedown requests to any entity that scrapes, plagiarizes, or misappropriates Academy content.
Internal Audits: The Editorial Board conducts quarterly audits to ensure that all assets used in our publications have a verifiable "Chain of Title" or valid usage license.
6. USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI)
The Academy maintains a strict policy on AI-generated content to ensure journalistic integrity:
Human-in-the-Loop: No final editorial content shall be published without significant human oversight and verification.
Disclosure: Any imagery or data visualizations generated via AI tools must be clearly labeled to prevent the dissemination of "deepfakes" or misleading visual information.
7. COMPLIANCE VIOLATIONS
Any employee or accredited representative of the Academy found to be in breach of third-party IP rights (e.g., unauthorized filming of track action) will face immediate disciplinary action, including the revocation of their internal credentials and notification to the relevant sanctioning body if necessary.
