And, as usual in Baku, there was plenty of chaos along the way.

Kimi Antonelli took a surprise victory in the inaugural Spanish Grand Prix after the timing of the Virtual Safety Car and a seven-second McLaren pit stop completely changed the race. Max Verstappen finished second and Lando Norris third, while Madring left plenty of questions about its suitability for Formula One racing. Norris, the only driver to make his mandatory stop at full speed as the VSC ended, lost around 20 seconds and later called for the rules to be changed. 

Kimi Räikkönen’s son is entering Red Bull’s junior programme, putting one of F1’s most recognisable surnames back in the spotlight. Robin Räikkönen is taking his first steps towards a potential open-wheel career, carrying both the expectations and legacy that come with being the son of a world champion. He is not alone in following a famous racing family into the junior ranks, with Kimi Prost and Ella Häkkinen also beginning to make their mark.
